A10: MEIDO-SAN MOE?!

Now, this is blog worthy. In the past four days, I've done 12 sketches, retraced 7, developed and corrected the first and hopefully by the end of the day, I'll have three more inked. This work-for-hire assignment I'm on comes hot on the heels of possibly my best lineart and color work in a LONG time, turned in ON TIME to Udon Comics. Even before that, I did another piece as the cover of a convention handbook, and completely redid the cover to my comic book! Productivity since the Valentine's Day weekend has gone THROUGH THE ROOF -- OH YEAH, and I did two, count'em TWO dakimakura design submissions! Lace-chan here is one of them!

Right now, to cleanse the palate (not palette) of all the cartoony artwork this week, I'm going to try and put together some sketches for a friend who wants to draft a game proposal. Whew! I tell you what -- a week of being 200$ in the negative really changed my perspective.

A09: HOLY SMOKES!

Queen's Blade! Just for sake of posting and sticking to the Monday gig -- I just finished my UDON submission this past weekend, got my work-for-hire stuff started and am pounding through art at a much higher pace than normal. Hopefully through this week I'll have DM's stuff or more of the shmup ideas. Stay tuned!

Maybe some words would be helpful too -- I have an idea in my head of a series of mecha musume/magical girl soldiers. Sailor Moon meets STG's. The challenge was finding the right look for the girls and what kind of mechs to combine them with. Fraxy really helps in the mech portion.

Now, we might as well settle on a date, my dear blog. I say we kick off each week with a Monday post by default of ANYTHING done within the past week. Something special in the middle of the week? That gets an additional post. What do you think?

I've taken a minute to try and add more interactivity to this blog as well, opening up comments to registered users of Blogger and Gmail and posting newsfeed info. Not sure if it works, but we'll see.
