D06: MARCHING ON

DM's for everybody!

Glad this month is almost over. April is coming and some big events lie ahead!

C11: NOT FORGOTTEN

Merely sidestepped by a new Tumblr page.
But I still dig you, Blogspot. Here's kindling for the smoldering furnace.

[Ziggy, and an older character "Sara", ressurected.]

[See! Not EVERYTHING I draw is saucy anime girls. Ok, so there's the making of one there, but that doesn't count!]

[Various doodles, been forcing myself to fill a page instead of just drop something in the corner of a fax sheet.]

Gotta get back to AMAZING. Been too long since I even ***SAID*** that to myself.

C10: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

The Demon Mages made it to year ten today! They've come a long way, after thousands of sketches, pictures and designs, five major rewrites, dozens of short stories, even a few video game drafts. It's been nothing but fun the whole way, but from here on out, it gets serious. Good work, ladies. Let's keep it moving.

B35: COMING TO A CLOSE

The year's almost over already! Relax while you can, DM's... relax while you can...

B17: SKETCH IT OUT

More sketches from this past week-and-a-half's take from AMA/Anime Next. Hooray progress!

MTAC 10 Nashville was a blast, and I'll gladly do it all again next year, if they'll have us.

Next big shows on the docket are San Diego Comic Con in July, Otakon the weekend after that, and New York Comic Con in early October. Somewhere between then and now, this proposed summer Magfest event might be worth checking in on and dropping your two cents for: magfest.org/node/566

B12: DM's FLYERS #4 -- TARA

This was a fun exercise! I hope y'all liked the change of tune here, and I hope to deliver more short comics like this in the next week or two.

B09: DM's FLYERS #1 -- ZIGGY

TO ALL VIEWERS

Hey, I hadn't really stopped to thank everyone who had posted a reply here on this blog. A whole year of posting semi-regularly and having literally a post-a-week is a big step for me. I'm very grateful whenever anyone stops to post a message and appreciate every comment. It might not show, and I'm still a rube sometimes -- but thank you, everyone.

P.S. : Tell your friends about me! Link me on your blog! Send me an email, cosmo_babylon@yahoo.com!

B01: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZIGGY

Not much more to say than that. Enjoy the first new pic of the new year (what, the last post WASN'T new?)

Maybe THIS year, I'll consistently post a new pic for each DM's birthday. Maybe.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, BLOGSPOT

Hey, we're closing in on a year's time on the blog! Or wait -- are we past that? I think we are!

Ah, heck -- we'll just be official about it and ring in the first week of 2010 with new art!

Here's to renewed effort, and more on the DM's!

A52: LET'S MOTOR

Roll out! More backlog material, some mechanical design pieces here. Gotta be able to visualize at multiple angles.

A50: WINTER FASHION SHOW 2009

It's December! Time to recap with some unreleased art posts! We start with recent works, some costume designs and cute chibi DM's stuff.

A46: ROUGH

National Novel Writing Month is already underway, and much writing's already been clocked in months beforehand. Not much at the moment, but it will be worth it in the end.

ALSO!

For the past few months, I've been going to the Video Game Zombies Podcast. It's every Wednesday and Sunday night at 9pm. Beware, as it's invasion already garners thousands and thousands (and thousands) of listeners! Maybe! http://www.livestream.com/vgzlive

A37: HANGOVER

Truth be told, it's been extremely rough since San Diego Comic Con.

I willfully go with unpaid leave from work, because... well... it's San Diego Comic Con! The kinds of people I meet there, the places I go throughout Southern California, I make back in epicness what I lose in paychecks! This year I was smarter -- saved up more and budgeted for rent's sake. But losing a week's pay still hurts like hell. Especially after my car gave out on me.

I've tripped up a little, gotten pretty sullen over how much still needs to be done. But looking back, it's still been a hugely productive year. This next three months is the last big push to finish strong.

Look forward to (fantastic) news on "The Demon Mages", some doujinshi projects I've been itching to finish, and at least some words back from Anime Weekend Atlanta, New York Anime Fest, and the last minute scramble to get to Tokyo this December.

A31: PRISM & SPARK

The road to Otakon and SDCC opens up today! I hope to rally some of my best new works and want to flex my muscles with OpenCanvas. Enjoy!

A28: ANIME MID-ATLANTIC

This weekend, off to another convention. Rallying artwork and gathering resources for the storm of activity come next month. Otakon 2009 and SDCC right behind. Then maybe a month after that, Comiket 76, and four months later... well stay tuned, my friends!
