B27: R-9R SLEEPLESS NIGHT

This made the rounds on my DA page and Pixiv BEFORE getting here!? Craziness.

What's good though is that I found an easy way of achieving the tones I want -- or at least, something close to it. Soon as I figure out how to get bigger dots at the sharpness I'm looking for, it'll all fall into place. For now, it's just about getting things consistent. Onward!

A26: SIEG ZEON

Been waaaay behind on commissions in favor of comics and staying MOTIVATED. Seems harder and harder as the months go on, which is honestly really scary. I chalk it up to more overblown expectations than absolute lack of work. I AM trying often to juggle three or five different projects at the same time.

The mood here is PERFECT. Linework, not so much. For three UC era Zeon underwater mobile suits, they're short on looks, so I had to pump up the attitude.

Also this:

What looks more and more like a definite doujin project BESIDES THE OTHER TWO is a Gradius Gaiden else-worlds take. I love the Viper and all, but she's gotta have a home away from home. That's where the battle ready, 1,300ft wide Cerberus-class supercarrier "Faraway Reach" comes into play.

A21: DESTROY THE SWORD CORE

More Gradius! My frothing demand for a next-gen or retro Gradius VI cannot be sated.

About 50 frames of animation. Very happy with the juicy bits like the mini-explosions, the electricity -- always felt confident at animating electric arcs -- and the fade-in-fade-out debris. In hindsight, I could have spruced it up with a more interesting background, but the focus was getting the frames and timing together.
